Not only it’s my birthday (YES IT IS!!!), but also the second day of my Creative Writing Challenge!
The second writing prompt comes from my ‘Writer’s Toolbox’ and goes like this:
Pick a card and use it as a prompt to further your writing. In alternative, take 10 minutes to write a short piece using the card as a prompt.
So, I picked a card and it said: THE FEEL OF SPANDEX
This is what I wrote:
Her friend Jill had told her: “That’s how you do it! How everyone does it!”
She had accepted those words of wisdom, but now wasn’t too sure anymore.
There was an itch she couldn’t scratch right at the crotch, her legs felt as if blood circulation had encountered a road block somewhere around the knee, not to talk about the chest, where her breasts were squeezed in so tight, she looked like a man and felt like a 19th century nun.
She looked at herself in the mirror and wondered why she couldn’t just wear a gym suit.
Who would have thought it was going to be such a tax being a superhero?
Then Marvin Gaye erupted in the room and she picked up the phone. It was her agent. “Leave it,” he said. “I spoke with the man in charge. Did you know “Super Memory” is not a recognized superpower?”
If you want to try it as well, either you get hold of a Writer’s Toolbox, or you can click on this link and find some nice random prompts: WatchOut4Snakes.
Have fun and see you tomorrow for Creative Writing #3!
